Featuring a stunning rose gold toned sunray brushed dial, the Sherpa Ultradive Sun watch captures the retro aesthetic of iconic Enicar watches from the 1960s. Engineered to deliver all the requisite features demanded of a contemporary divers watch, the model is housed within a 40mm stainless steel case that boasts the rarity of an authentic bayonet compressor caseback and proprietary Monoflex compressor system crowns. Powered by the automatic mechanical Mantramatic MM01 calibre, the watch comes presented on a Tropic style rubber strap.

A strikingly handsome timepiece, the watch carries a 40mm stainless steel casing with a height of 13.5mm. Replicating the system used by Enicar for their iconic timepieces, but bringing it up to date for today’s wearer, the watch has a bayonet compressor style case that enables an increase in the water tightness as the pressure on the case is increased. Sealed to withstand depths of 200m, the case is robust in architecture, with a prominent guard at the three o’clock position that protects the crowns for the time setting and bezel functions. Notably, neither crown is of a screw-down design, instead their water resistance is via the company’s proprietary Monoflex compressor system.

The box style sapphire crystal is complemented by domed dial with a resplendent rose gold galvanised surface, that is enhanced with a sunray brushed finish. The elegant tone is complemented by a curved inner rotating bezel, faceted hour and minutes hands and a distinctive seconds hand with double lollipop lume dots. A liberal coating of  Super-LumiNova Grade X1 on the indications enables usability in poor light conditions, and the layout is finished with a diminutive date window at the three o’clock position.

Beating within, the Mantramatic MM01, based on the Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement carries a secret behind its solid caseback. Two of its wheels feature laser engravings of a Tibetan Buddhist mantra commonly used in the Sherpa region, rendered in a custom traditional Tibetan font. The constant rotation of the pair of wheels adds a unique spiritual aspect to the piece, with the feel-good vibe elevated by a donation of the profits of each watch sold by Sherpa given towards to a good cause within the Sherpa region in Nepal.

The Sherpa Ultradive Sun watch comes presented on a Tropic style strap of vulcanised rubber available in black, white, olive green and orange.
