Digitrend OSII Black

The AMIDA Digitrend OSII Black (Ref. LRD-05-Noir) is a limited-edition mechanical piece that reinterprets the brand’s 1976 digital display concept through a contemporary architectural approach, combining a 316L stainless steel case with a monobloc sapphire hood that replaces the traditional upper structure to allow light to penetrate and illuminate the entire movement.

This transparent construction reveals a DLC-coated internal framework that acts as both structural support and visual element, integrated directly with a proprietary jumping-hour module driven by a Soprod Newton P024 automatic calibre operating at 4 Hz with a 38-hour power reserve. Time is displayed via AMIDA’s LRD (Light Reflecting Display) system, which uses a prism to project a horizontal digital readout of jumping hours and trailing minutes, enhanced by a fully luminescent interface using BGW9 Super-LumiNova that ensures legibility in low light—made possible by the light-permeable sapphire architecture.

Measuring 39.6 × 39.0 mm with a thickness of 15.6 mm and water resistance to 50 metres, the watch is offered on either an Alcantara-lined strap or an integrated steel bracelet, and is produced in a strictly limited series of 150 pieces, representing a technically driven evolution of mechanical digital time display through the fusion of optical, structural, and horological innovation.
