The Byrne Gyro Dial MECA is a compact, mechanically sophisticated timepiece that reinterprets the brand’s signature animated display through a newly developed in-house architecture. At its heart is the hand-wound Calibre 5557, a skeletonized movement manufactured in Fleurier and composed of 243 components with 39 jewels, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivering a 60-hour power reserve via a refined barrel and sliding clamp winding system, with the unconventional crown positioned at 12 o’clock for ergonomic and visual balance.

The watch’s defining feature is its Gyro Dial complication, consisting of four pivoting, three-dimensional cube indices crafted from a rare alloy and designed to rotate dynamically to reveal alternating Roman and Arabic numerals treated with Super‑LumiNova, creating a kinetic and constantly evolving display. This mechanism is framed by an openworked dial finished in a blue rhodium metallized tone with hand-drawn detailing, enhancing both depth and legibility. Housed in a slim 38 mm Grade 5 titanium case with polished and sandblasted surfaces, sapphire crystals front and back, and a thickness of approximately 12 mm, the watch balances technical expression with wearability, while offering water resistance to 50 metres. It is completed by a blue rubber strap secured with a titanium pin buckle, resulting in a cohesive, lightweight construction that underscores the watch’s fusion of mechanical innovation, artisanal finishing, and contemporary design.
