The Haas Neveux Jump Hour Pocket Watch is an exceptionally elegant expression of early 20th-century Swiss watchmaking, combining an ultra-slim platinum case with an unusual mechanical digital time display. Haas Neveux & Cie. was a highly regarded Geneva manufacture known for precision watchmaking and sophisticated complications, with surviving examples of its jump-hour pocket watches dating from the 1920s

Rather than displaying the hours conventionally with hands, the watch uses a jump-hour aperture, in which the hour numeral changes instantaneously as each hour passes. The minutes are presented through a distinctive sector-style display, creating an exceptionally clean and architectural dial arrangement characteristic of Haas Neveux's digital-time designs of the period.

Inside is a beautifully constructed ultra-slim manual-winding mechanical movement with 18 jewels, finished to an exceptionally high standard. The movement of this particular example has been completely serviced and is reported to be in full running order, while the mechanical jump-hour display remains in excellent operating condition.

The watch is housed in a substantial platinum case, retained in its original unpolished condition. The case remains very well preserved for its age, showing only minor surface marks to the bezel and bow, together with some scratches to the satin-finished surfaces and caseback consistent with careful use over many decades.

Combining precious-metal construction, an unusual mechanical digital display and the refined movement architecture associated with Haas Neveux, this is a particularly distinctive and collectible example of early jump-hour horology.
