After founding TLE in 2015, he became a Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie Academy Member in 2020 and was selected for the GPHG Jury in 2023, both as an acknowledgment of his efforts and dedication in promoting the culture around independent watchmaking.

Moonlighting as The Watch Collector, Oliver Al-Falah is a financial and regulatory lawyer by profession.
He has been collecting watches since he was 14 and, having undertaken the journey so many have embarked upon by beginning with the mainstream brands before moving on to collect unique and independent watches, he looks to bring his experience to bear in reviewing pieces in a way he hopes collectors will find meaningful when considering their own assemblage.

As The Limited Edition’s Marketing Manager, Sam is responsible for strengthening the brand’s international presence and digital identity
He is passionate about independent watchmaking and has developed strong insight into the makers and collectors behind it through regular industry events in the UK and abroad. He grew The Limited Edition’s YouTube channel from 400 subscribers to over 200,000, produced and coordinated The Days of the Independents book, and played a central role in launching Pietro’s, the company’s first showroom.
