PURITY CHIAROSCURO

Technically masterful and bringing the drama of light and dark to their High Complications collection, the ArtyA Purity Chiaroscuro is a stunning example of contemporary Haute Horlogerie. Featuring a Manufacture flying tourbillon movement and with contrasting tones of gold and black, this exclusive 9 piece edition showcases an open-worked architecture which creates the illusion of components seemingly floating upon intricate, suspended bridges.

Dispelling with the requirement for markers and numerals, the indications of the watch are reduced to their essentia, promoting a dial side aspect of unparalleled purity. Generously proportioned at 17mm, and beating at 4Hz to ensure added stability, the in-house tourbillon at the 9 o’clock position is clasped within an immaculately hand-beveled and finished three-pronged open-worked bridge. Located at the 9 o’clock location it also displays the running seconds. Offering equipoise, it is complemented by the proportionally perfect arrangement of a pair of barrels at the 2 and 4 o’clock which ensure a 70 hour reserve of power.

Adding to the drama, the gold toned bridges are wonderfully slender and their concentric form adds further to the visually striking aspect of the movement, while from the centre, the faceted steel hour and minutes hands taper beautifully to complete this aesthetically stunning dial side composition.

The case is manufactured from black PVD stainless steel, and is sized at 44mm diameter with a height of 12mm. It has profile which curves outwards to embrace the grooved golden crown, which in a touch of ingenious design, conforms further with the rounded bridges of the manually winding movement.

The casing is fitted with a sapphire caseback where one can appreciate the reverse view of the calibre. Presented on a black leather strap, secured with a steel pin buckle, the ArtyA Purity Chiaroscuro is a limited edition of 9 pieces.
