The AWAKE Son Mài – Frosted Leaf “Storm” is a 38 mm stainless‑steel Métier d’Art timepiece showcasing a hand‑crafted dial produced through a demanding 15‑hour Sơn Mài Vietnamese lacquerwork process enriched with pure silver leaf, creating deep reliefs, vivid black‑and‑orange contrasts, and a unique lightning‑inspired texture.
Its refined case architecture features a concave polished bezel, convex sapphire crystal, rounded lugs, and a screw‑down crown delivering 10 ATM water resistance, while a sapphire caseback reveals the automatic La Joux‑Perret G101 calibre with a 68‑hour power reserve and a custom tungsten rotor finished with polished, brushed, and bead‑blasted surfaces. Super‑LumiNova® BGW9 hands and indexes form AWAKE’s exclusive “coiffe” luminous signature, enhancing depth and legibility day and night.
Completing the piece is a French‑made nubuck calfskin strap by Maison Bouveret with a rubberized lining, curved quick‑release bars, and the Fitwell M1 micro‑adjust buckle, underscoring the watch’s blend of artisanal craftsmanship, technical refinement, and contemporary design.
