BELVEDERE MIDNIGHT

Limited to only 100 pieces, the Belvedere Midnight by Carl Suchy is stunning in both arrangement and composition. Inspired by the architecture and ambience of the iconic Viennese Belvedere Palace this beautifully executed timepiece is presented in a black DLC steel casing, and has a decorated and lacquered dial featuring a unique date display that transforms the dial aspect of the watch every 24 hours. The prestige of this exclusive timepiece is elevated by an automatic movement created with the technical input of the prestigious Master Watchmaker Marc Jenni, featuring an exquisite gold-plated rotor engraved with a miniature artwork of the Belvedere Palace.

The Carl Suchy Belvedere Midnight watch carries a black DLC case of stainless steel, with a diameter of 40.8mm and a height of 12.2mm. Rounded and sculpted, it has a fluted bezel that catches and reflects the light with each subtle movement of the wrist, and its screw down crown enables a water resistance of 100 metres. Sporty, yet ultimately refined, the watch is presented on an integrated rubber strap that ensures both durability and an ergonomic fit.

The black lacquered dial has a concave flange featuring rhodium-plated indices which are accompanied by skeletonised dauphine hour and minute hands and a graceful, golden seconds hand, with each element enhanced with Super-LumiNova to enable readability even when the light conditions are poor. The central section has been finished with asymmetrical guilloché work and it is engineered to turn once every 24 hours, so the date window changes its location each day. This quirky yet sophisticated little addition gives the dial a unique aspect and its inclusion is very much in line with the detailing which makes Carl Suchy timepieces special.

On the underside of the watch, a sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the Carl Suchy CSS201 movement, which is derived from a Dubois Dépraz DD90000, reimagined by the acclaimed Master, Marc Jenni. Edged with a resplendent gold-plated and decorated movement ring, and fitted with a gold-plated rotor engraved with a miniature artwork of the Belvedere Palace, the calibre features impeccable decoration and is visually stunning in architecture. Running at 28’800 vib/h, it delivers a power reserve of 42 hours.

An excellent example of a contemporary sports timepiece, the Carl Suchy Belvedere Midnight is secured to the wrist by a black rubber strap featuring an engraving of the Belvedere Garden on its inner side. The model is strictly limited to 100 pieces.
