The most restrained and refined execution of Cavasino’s debut, combining a flying tourbillon with a hand-hammered gold dial and in-house micro-rotor movement. Limited to 20 pieces.
This is the purest version of the FT60.
In platinum, the Inaugural Tourbillon FT60 shifts away from contrast and towards control. The same architecture remains, but the tone is quieter, more deliberate, and more aligned with traditional haute horlogerie restraint.
Created by Didier Cavasino, the FT60 platform is built around proportion, finishing, and mechanical integrity. The platinum case amplifies that intent rather than changing it.
The flying tourbillon remains positioned at 2 o’clock, rotating once per minute with a subtle seconds indicator integrated into the titanium cage. Its placement breaks symmetry without disrupting the overall balance of the dial.
The dial is identical in construction but different in feel. A solid 18ct white gold base is hand-hammered to create an irregular surface, then sealed with a clear enamel glaze. In platinum, this texture becomes more subdued. Light is absorbed and diffused rather than reflected, giving the watch a more technical, almost monochromatic character.
At 38.7mm and 10.4mm thick, the case proportions are disciplined, especially for a tourbillon. The brushed mid-case contrasts with polished lugs and bezel, maintaining structure without visual excess.
Turn the watch over and the DCR-01 calibre reinforces the credibility of the piece. A solid gold micro-rotor powers twin barrels, delivering approximately 60 hours of reserve. The movement architecture is clean and symmetrical, finished with vertical Côtes de Genève, hand-chamfered edges, and mirror-polished screws.
This is where the piece earns its position. Not through the tourbillon alone, but through the consistency of execution across dial, case, and movement.
Limited to 20 pieces, this is the most understated expression of Cavasino’s debut. It will not appeal to everyone. It is not meant to.
