Chronoswiss Neo Digiteur Chronos CH-1371R.2-GO revives one of the manufacture’s most unconventional concepts in an elaborate sculptural form, combining mechanical digital time display with extensive hand engraving. Limited to just 33 pieces, the watch is crafted in solid 18ct 5N gold, with approximately 65 grams of gold used for the case.
Measuring 48mm in diameter, its distinctive case is entirely hand-engraved in Lucerne with a mythological depiction of Chronos, the ancient god of time. Rather than using conventional hands, time is displayed through three apertures integrated into the engraved composition. Jumping hours appear at 12 o’clock, digital minutes occupy the centre, while sweeping seconds are positioned at 6 o’clock.
Power is supplied by the manually wound Calibre C.85757, featuring a proprietary in-house module developed by Chronoswiss in Lucerne specifically to control the jumping-hour,minute and seconds indications. Visible through a rectangular caseback aperture, the movement incorporates hand-guilloché decoration across gold- and ruthenium-plated components.
Water resistance is rated to 30 metres / 3 ATM, reinforcing its position as an artisanal collector’s piece rather than a conventional sports watch. Each example carries its own individually hand-engraved limited-edition number, ensuring subtle variations from one piece to another.
Combining precious metal, traditional engraving and an unusual mechanical digital display, the Neo Digiteur Chronos offers a highly distinctive interpretation of contemporary independent watchmaking.
