The Czapek Antarctique Desert Rose Eastern Arabic Numerals is a limited 25-piece execution of the Antarctique platform, built in a 40.5 mm stainless steel case with an integrated stainless steel bracelet. The dial is a sand-tone “Desert Rose” finish, finely microblasted to produce a matte, mineral texture, paired with sword-shaped hands, raised indexes, and a date at 6 o’clock to preserve Czapek’s vertical symmetry. The signature detail is the 12 o’clock index rendered in exclusive Eastern Arabic calligraphy by artist Wissam Shawkat, supplied with a signed certificate.

Power comes from Czapek’s in-house SXH5 automatic calibre, featuring a micro-rotor in recycled 950 platinum for compact winding and an unobstructed view of the movement architecture. The regulating organ is specified as a free-sprung balance with variable inertia, and the movement layout is supported by seven skeletonised bridges referencing 19th-century pocket-watch architecture while remaining distinctly modern in execution. Practical watchmaking features include a stop-seconds (hacking) mechanism for to-the-second synchronisation and a screw-down crown contributing to 120 m (12 ATM) water resistance.

Ergonomics and versatility are central to the build: the bracelet incorporates a micro-adjustment system and Czapek’s EasyRelease / quick-change mechanism, enabling rapid swaps to rubber or leather alternatives. The case retains the Antarctique line’s double trompe-l’œil curvature, and Czapek notes the proportions suit wrist circumferences above 16.5 cm.
