Pupil Ultralight 14G

Inspired by the artistic legacy of the ancient Shu civilisation, the Behrens Pupil Ultralight 14G watch incorporates the rhomboid geometry of the iconic ‘Bronze Diamond Eye’ throughout its architecture. Limited to only 9 pieces for each edition, the Pupil Ultralight 14G models feature an all-new Manufacture calibre, and introduce a reverse orientation of the signature Behrens asymmetrical case.

Fully exposed on the dial-side, the delicate ballet of the individual components of the manual winding Cal.BM09 movement becomes a visual highlight of the piece, and its unique arrangement is complemented by an endlessly fascinating Jumping Hour indication with minutes on a meteorite chapter ring at the lower right quadrant. Notably the rhombic form of the ‘Bronze Eye’ continually emerges and fades as the openworked hour and minutes hands conform to the passage of time. Promoting perfect equipoise, an exquisite Day/Night indicator inspired by the ‘Sun and Immortal Birds Gold Ornament’ is placed at the lower left, with the power reserve on the upper left. Curving on the wrist, the beautifully executed asymmetrical Behrens case is manufactured from a Grade 5 titanium alloy, and with dimensions of 34mm x 39.6mm and an incredibly slender height of only 5.15mm, it weighs only 14g without its Fluororubber strap.
