Purple Tellurium
?>The Purple Tellurium embodies neo-futuristic horology, blending astronomical mechanics with bold design. Conceived by Olivier Gamiette (case/dial) and Théo Auffret (complication), the watch integrates the patented heliocentric tellurium module developed at the Auffret Paris workshop. Encased in violet DLC-coated steel, the case measures 42 mm wide, 50 mm lug-to-lug, and 16 mm thick, with alternating brushed and sandblasted finishes highlighted by polished edges (as shown in the technical schematics). A domed sapphire crystal tops the watch, ensuring durability, while the caseback features detailed finishing and a sandblasted engraving. Water resistance is rated to 3 ATM (30 m). The dial is crafted from purple aventurine, accented with polished purple stars, reinforcing the cosmic theme.
Inside, the Swiss Soprod P024 H4 automatic movement drives the tellurium module. The movement provides hours, minutes, date, and month, while the planetary wheel illustrates the real-time position of Earth and the Moon relative to the Sun, accurate for over 100 years. The system also indicates the angular motion of the Moon and the meridian passage of astral bodies, with all corrections handled directly through the crown. Power reserve is 38 hours, with fully Swiss-machined components, assembled in France. The watch is delivered on a white Delugs strap (22/18 mm) and secured by a violet DLC buckle. Packaging is space-inspired, supplied in a protective SpaceOne watch roll. The Purple Tellurium is a distinctive fusion of haute horlogerie and contemporary design, offering collectors a rare astronomical complication in an avant-garde execution.
