HAUTLENCE’s Sphere Series 3 reimagines timekeeping as a kinetic performance of mechanics and art. Encased within a newly proportioned 37 × 45 × 17.4 mm Grade 5 titanium case, the watch wears smaller than its measurements suggest, thanks to an integrated bracelet design that hugs the wrist with exceptional comfort. Satin-finished surfaces contrast with polished bevels, while 10 ATM water resistance underscores the brand’s technical refinement in sealing a rectangular case. At 9 o’clock, a violet-coated titanium jumping sphere displays the hours through a breathtaking rotation across three axes. Powered by a differential of four conical gears set on crossed axes at 21°, it performs a gyroscopic leap every sixty minutes, twisting up to three times before aligning with the next numeral. The result is an optical symphony of balance and motion, equally sculptural and precise.

Opposite, a retrograde minute hand sweeps across a sapphire track, accented by 3D Globolight® indexes that glow white by day and electric blue at night. At the top of each hour, it snaps back to zero in perfect synchrony with the sphere’s dance, an exquisite punctuation to the passage of time. Beneath the skeletonised, architectural dial lies the in-house calibre A82, a hand-wound engine assembled by H. Moser & Cie. watchmakers. Despite its compact form, it maintains a 72-hour power reserve and showcases HAUTLENCE’s in-house-crafted hairspring, an achievement few independents can claim. Protected by sapphire crystals on both sides, the watch pairs its titanium architecture with a violet suede strap, echoing the hue of the jumping sphere and crown ring. Awarded the GPHG 2023 Innovation Prize, the Sphere Series 3 transcends conventional horology, each rotation a theatrical celebration of precision, independence, and imagination.

Limited to 28 pieces worldwide, this is not merely a timepiece, but a stage where mechanics become movement and time becomes art.
