The Trilobe Une Folle Journée Dune Titanium watch is housed within a 40.5mm Grade 5 titanium case enhanced with polished and brushed finishing techniques. Marking a first in the history of this youthful watchmaking company, the dial has an open worked architecture and in order to accommodate its three dimensional layout, the case is topped with a beautifully executed, pronounced domed sapphire crystal which on its own, rises up to a height of 10.8mm.

The dial side panorama of the Une Folle Journée Dune Titanium watch by Trilobe is extraordinary. Laid out beneath the showcase sapphire dome and rising up to meet it, a trio of rotating rings mark the passage of time. Offering up an illusion, they appear to float whimsically upon a complicated labyrinth of mechanical components. Supported on nine tiny pillars the rings are crafted to conform to the curve of the sapphire, and as they rotate using the fixed reference, they enable an intuitive reading of the passage of time which is instantly mesmeric. The hours, the larger of the three is positioned at the outer dial, followed by the minutes and seconds each concentrically placed. Rendered in an anthracite tone, the indication rings of Trilobe's Une Folle Journée Dune Titanium are crafted from ultra-light titanium thus ensuring smoothness as they turn upon their sophisticated mechanisms. Beneath them, the warm salmon-toned base plate has been decorated with a grained finish, creating a dramatic effect as it interacts with the polished elements of the rings.

To complement the glimpse of the mechanisms on the dial side, a full disclosure of the proprietary Calibre X-Centric self-winding movement is appreciable through the rear sapphire crystal. Meticulously finished throughout, in-keeping with the design language of the watch, the calibre carries a contemporary aesthetic, with high-contrast polished edges and a grained decoration. Powered by a micro-rotor, the calibre has a power reserve of 48 hours, running at 28’800 vib/h.
