Named for its featherlight properties, the Behrens Ultralight 20G watch weighs in at an astounding 20 grams, excluding its tactile FKM rubber strap. While having a barely there wrist presence, the watch has a prominent character thanks to the asymmetrical trapezoidal profile of its grade 5 titanium case, which measures 38.2mm diameter, 42.6mm at its longest point, and only 5.2mm thick. Beautifully executed throughout, the watch enjoys the advantage of the Behrens in-house BM02 calibre, which has a curved architecture that is fully appreciable on the dial side. The time is indicated via a Bi-retrograde system for the hours and minutes, with the scale for both displays rendered on the inside of the sapphire crystal so that every nuance of the intricate components is revealed, and visibility is enhanced by the use of vivid red pointers for both the time indications, and also the power reserve located in the upper left quadrant. Beating at a rate of 28’800 vib/h, the manual winding calibre has a power reserve of 38 hours and notably, is equipped with a Behrens original free-sprung balance and shock absorber.
