Limited to only 10 pieces this stunning timepiece exhibits modern styling codes, classical proportions and an all-new sophisticated colour palette.

A Spectacular Dial

Acclaimed for their impeccable craftsmanship and design finesse, Zeitwinkel timepieces are a perfect fit for the portfolio of The Limited Edition who, since their inception, have curated a collection which displays a passion for independent watchmaking artistry and uniqueness. In celebration of their 10th Anniversary, the company continue their series of collaborative timepieces with the stunning Zeitwinkel 082º TLE watch. Distinctively different from previous Zeitwinkel 082º models, this exclusive edition reinterprets the dial aesthetics of the 082º by introducing a spectacular new surface that is brimming with textures and tones, complemented by Zeitwinkel’s proprietary typeface numerals, and featuring the ZW0102 automatic Manufacture calibre.

As co-creators of this special edition, both Zeitwinkel and also The Limited Edition devoted uncompromising attention to detail to ensure that the model retained the high quality finishing and purity of style of previous Zeitwinkel 082º pieces. However, while this exclusive 10 piece edition retains the authentic integrity that Zeitwinkel engrain within the DNA of all their watches, it introduces a unique blend of styling nuances to the mix, and debuts an exceptional multi-layered dial with varying finishes. Evoking eye catching contrast, with a resplendent gold textured central section leading to muted tones at the outer where the Zeitwinkel in-house typeface numerals are displayed, the character of the dial is transformed and Zeitwinkel’s incredible flair for design is showcased.

A Unique Personality

Highlighting the design touches that are distinctively Zeitwinkel, the dial has a trio of varying finishes. At the centre, the galvanized 2N gold section is enhanced by pronounced grained texturing, followed by a galvanized ‘Black Or’ chapter ring with a concentric decoration that holds the exclusive Zeitwinkel numerals and appliqués, and a smooth ring for the seconds at the perimeter. Evoking exceptional contrast, the resplendent golden centre dial shimmers with each subtle wrist movement, and this is complemented by the muted tones at the outer, lending the watch a wonderfully unique personality. In a final flourish, the precisely straight surfaces of the in-house Zeitwinkel hour and minute hands are set at a perfect angle to one another so that only one edge of each hand will reflect the light at any given moment giving the wearer maximum readability of the time, and these are joined by an elongated slender seconds hand.

Classical Proportions and Clean Lines

Fastidious attention to detail and skilful craftsmanship are attributes that The Limited Edition seek out for their portfolio and within the Independent sector, Zeitwinkel stand apart for their obsessive devotion to fine detailing of the minutiae. From sketch to bench each stage in the design, manufacture and assembly of every Zeitwinkel watch is a painstakingly meticulous process, and the brand are experts in making the complex appear seemingly effortless. Deceptively simple, the construction of the rounded case of the Zeitwinkel 082º TLE is demanding of more than 80 stages, with the assembly achieved primarily by hand. Evoking classical proportions of 39mm diameter, with a height of 11.6m, its clean lines are enhanced by a fine blasted finish which speaks to the design language of the dial, while the edges are defined by a high polish. Fitted with a domed sapphire crystal at the front and with a flat sapphire crystal at the rear, the casing has a water resistance of 50m and notably, Zeitwinkel have fitted the grooved crown with a multi-stage sealing system with dual O-rings so that even when it is raised, water cannot enter and cause ruinous damage to the movement.

The Zeitwinkel 082º TLE is powered by the Zeitwinkel ZW0102 manufacture automatic calibre, which is viewable through the generous rear sapphire crystal. Constructed using the three-quarter plate discipline, which allows for stability and robustness, its plates and bridges are made from untreated German silver, with the softened patina of the material showcasing the immaculate Côtes de Genève and hand chamfering. Beating at 28’800 vib/h, the calibre has a power reserve of 72 hours via an openworked bi-directional winding rotor.

Born out of a mutual respect for the art of contemporary independent watchmaking, the Zeitwinkel 082º TLE watch is strictly limited to ten pieces. Each model in this exclusive edition wears on a grey leather strap, secured by a Zeitwinkel engraved clasp.
