Instantly recognisable, and adored by collectors around the world, Konstantin Chaykin’s ‘Wrist Monster’ series of timepieces has become an icon of contemporary independent watchmaking. Known affectionately in the industry as Wristmons, these evocative, complex pieces are an excellent example of holistic design, with the individual indications of the dial merging with the mechanical components to create wonderful facial features.
Previously released as a steel-cased Panda Piece Unique model which was sold at a charity auction in 2024, collectors are now offered the opportunity to acquire this stunning limited production Panda model. Presented in a complex 40mm titanium case comprising of 54 components, the housing features carbon fibre composite ‘ears’ and a ribbed and engraved bezel with the uncommon placement of the crown at the six o’clock. The first in a series of five pieces inspired by Eastern animals and birds, the East collection will culminate in a swan song ‘Tiger’ limited edition model, which will be powered by a Manufacture calibre and is scheduled for release in 2029. Notably, collectors who acquire all five Wristmons in the East collection will gain the right to purchase the fifth and final piece at the same price as the first four in order to complete a highly desirable and exclusive set.

The model is powered by the calibre K.18-22, based on the G200 automatic movement by prestigious movement maker, La Joux-Perret, featuring a dedicated version of the Joker-indication proprietary module. Distinctive for its wheel train bridges which are shaped as a stylised map of the home region of the panda, Sichuan Province, the calibre operates at a frequency of 28’800 vib/h, with a power reserve of 68 hours and is equipped with a skeletonised Konstantin Chaykin rotor.
