Capturing the essence of iconic 1970s sports timekeepers, the Favre Leuba Chief Chronograph watch is characterised by nuances of vintage styling backed up by superb a column-wheel chronograph movement by La Joux-Perret. Taking inspiration from an archival piece in their portfolio, the piece is presented in a beautifully crafted cushion shaped 41mm stainless steel case with water resistance of 100m, whose softened squared-off lines are finished with contrasting brushed and polished techniques. Wearing at a height of only 14mm, the casing seamlessly embraces an integrated two link bracelet secured with a butterfly clasp.

The deep blue dial is enhanced by a sunray finish, with contrasting grey subdials, and features rhodium plated indices with X1 grade blue superluminova on the hour markers and hands giving excellent readability in poor light conditions, while a tachymeter scale completes the layout giving definition to the perimeter. Inside, and viewable through the rear sapphire crystal, the automatic FLC02 movement by the prestigious movement atelier La Joux-Perret has a column-wheel chronograph arrangement, an emblematic feature of all high grade sports timers. Enhanced with a heat blued finish the tiny mechanism stands out wonderfully against the meticulous Côtes de Genève and perlage decoration which is complemented by skeletonised custom rotor. Beating at a frequency of 28’800 vib/h, the calibre has a power reserve of 60 hours.
