The Christiaan van der Klaauw Ariadne is a masterfully crafted timepiece that seamlessly blends intricate design with technical sophistication. Housed in a polished 40mm stainless steel case with sapphire crystals on both the front and back, this watch exudes elegance. The burgundy dial features a frosted central area and four sub-dials, each with circular-brushed rings, displaying various complications. At 6 o'clock, the sub-dial presents a moon phase and 12-hour totaliser, while the 9 o'clock sub-dial integrates a small seconds and 24-hour day/night indicator. The watch's date is indicated by a red pointer hand circling the dial’s periphery. Powering the Ariadne is the calibre CVDK7758, an automatic cam-lever chronograph movement based on the Valjoux 7758. It offers a 48-hour power reserve and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The rotor is adorned with guilloché and the "Sun with 12 claws" engraving by Jochen Benzinger, underscoring the watch’s artisanal quality.
