De Bethune DB27-Z Titan Hawk Zirconium is a rare, first-generation expression of the DB27, combining the brand’s futuristic design language with a more restrained, monochrome aesthetic. Its 43mm zirconium case is fitted with De Bethune’s patented floating articulated lugs, which help the watch wear smaller and more comfortably on the wrist, while the distinctive crown at 12 o’clock reinforces its unconventional architecture.

The dial is deceptively complex, with a layered construction that includes concentric central rings, a stepped date track, a raised outer section with Roman numeral hour markers, and an outer Arabic five-minute scale. A particularly charming detail is the central date indication, whose pointer is shaped like a hawk’s tail, giving the model its name and a touch of visual playfulness.

Inside is De Bethune’s in-house automatic calibre S233, featuring double barrels, an ultra-light silicon and white-gold balance, and a silicon escapement. The movement is notable not only for its advanced materials but also for its practicality, delivering a substantial six-day power reserve. According to collector coverage and auction documentation, the zirconium version was produced in just 27 numbered pieces, making it a notably scarce variant within the DB27 family.

This example is pre-owned in mint condition, complete as a full set, with warranty dated 2020.
