The DeBethune DB25QPARS1 Perpetual Calendar embodies haute horlogerie’s fusion of celestial artistry and mechanical precision. Crafted in polished 18K rose gold, the 44 mm case features De Bethune’s signature ogival lugs, lateral correctors, and a crown at 3 o’clock, framed by a double anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The open platinum caseback reveals the brand’s meticulous hand-finishing, a visual testament to independent Swiss mastery. A silver engine-turned dial radiates elegance through twelve guilloché sectors surrounded by a chemin-de-fer minute track and raised dark-blue Roman numerals. At its centre, a mirror-polished blued-steel sky is sprinkled with rose-gold stars, creating a poetic backdrop for the perpetual calendar display. The day and month are read through apertures at 9 and 3 o’clock, while a sub-dial at 6 o’clock tracks the date. A gold pastille appears within the sky at 12 o’clock to denote the leap year cycle. The spherical moon phase, crafted from palladium and flame-blued steel, rotates with astronomical precision, accurate to one lunar day every 122 years, a 2004 De Bethune patent.
Curved flame-blued hands sweep gracefully over the dial’s architecture, while beneath beats the manual-winding Calibre DB2324QP, a 425-component movement featuring 47 jewels, twin self-regulating barrels for a 6-day power reserve, and a frequency of 28,800 vph. Innovations include a titanium balance wheel with white-gold inserts (2016 patent), a De Bethune balance-spring with flat terminal curve (2006 patent), silicon escape wheel, and triple pare-chute shock protection. The hand-finished bridges display a starry motif, with blued-titanium balance bridge and a white-gold oscillating weight, all polished and chamfered by hand. A black leather strap to complement the rose-gold warmth, completing a timepiece that transforms astronomical precision into wearable art. Brand new, Full set with box, papers, and warranty dated October 2025.
