The Hermle Tellurium IV is a modern‑classic astronomical clock housed within a glass cube, featuring a specially milled solid dial that reveals a floating mechanical movement beneath a twisted rosette crown laser‑cut with the 12 zodiac signs. This tellurium mechanism displays the Earth’s annual orbit around the Sun, with the globe rotating once every 24 hours, while the Moon completes its 29.5‑day orbit and axial rotation to show accurate lunar phases. A flat dial indicates the zodiac, months, and days, and the rotating arm carries representations of the Sun, Moon, and Earth. The clock is powered by Hermle’s 8‑day mechanical movement with a 4/4 Westminster striking mechanism on four polished bells, featuring seconds in the power flow, an 11‑jewel Swiss escapement, polished plates, spring balancer, and automatic night shut‑off.
