M.A.D.1 BLUE

The MB&F M.A.D.1 BLUE is a bold and unconventional timepiece that embodies Max Büsser’s signature creativity and mechanical flair, offered here in mint, pre-owned condition. Housed in a 42mm stainless steel case, the watch features a unique cradle-like construction with large, polished lugs and a distinctive X-shaped frame beneath the movement container. A domed sapphire crystal covers the polished steel bezel, while the lower half of the case is enclosed by a cylindrical mineral crystal. Time is displayed laterally, via rotating blue aluminium hour and grey aluminium minute cylinders, which are read from the side of the case through a pointer located between the lugs. The numerals are engraved and filled with Super-LumiNova, enhancing legibility in low light. At its core is a modified Miyota 821A automatic movement, mounted upside-down to showcase its showstopping triple-blade rotor on the dial side, each blade featuring a luminous stripe for dramatic visual effect. The movement beats at 21,600 vph (3 Hz), contains 21 jewels, and delivers a 42-hour power reserve. Completing the design is a light grey leather strap with contrasting blue stitching, fastened with a folding buckle, complementing the vibrant blue accents throughout the watch.
