Armin Strom’s Mirrored Force Resonance Zeitgeist 1665 stands as a tribute to centuries of horological exploration, merging mechanical poetry with scientific precision. Conceived under the concept of a “future imagined from the past,” it reflects what a resonance timepiece might have looked like had watchmakers of earlier centuries achieved stable, resilient resonance. Encased in a refined 43mm stainless-steel body with sapphire crystals on both sides, this Zeitgeist balances technical depth and wearability. At its core lies the hand-wound calibre ARF21_ZG, featuring twin independent oscillators linked by Armin Strom’s patented resonance clutch spring. Operating at 3.5 Hz and offering an 80-hour power reserve, the mechanism ensures synchronised oscillation, maintaining chronometric consistency even under motion. This dual-balance architecture not only stabilises rate fluctuations but also embodies the brand’s pioneering mastery of resonance, a phenomenon first theorised by Christiaan Huygens in 1665 and perfected by Armin Strom in 2016.

A dial crafted in 18K white gold with a “vernis laqué poli” finish provides an elegant contrast to the exposed mechanics. Off-centred hours and minutes harmonise with twin running seconds that visually express the synchronisation process in real time. Heat-blued, hand-finished steel hands underscore the brand’s commitment to artisanal craftsmanship. Every component, from the rose-gold PVD bridges to the polished screws and Geneva stripes, receives meticulous hand finishing. Completing the piece, a dark grey Alcantara strap with matching stitching ensures refined comfort. Limited to just 25 pieces, the Mirrored Force Resonance Zeitgeist 1665 redefines the boundaries of mechanical harmony, uniting heritage, physics, and artistry into a single vision of horological perfection.
