The ruby in the Sartory Billard SB04-E is a genuine gemstone, responsibly sourced from Tanzania. Presented in its natural boulder form, it is easily recognisable by its green external crust. Rest assured, this is not a composite material.
The dial is crafted from a single piece of exceptionally rare ruby, meticulously cut and shaped to reveal its captivating depth and unique brilliance. Each "Cœur de Rubis" dial is a one-of-a-kind cut, bearing the distinct character and natural variations of the stone.
The ruby boulders are expertly cut into slabs and crafted into dials in Germany, just an hour from our workshop. This proximity ensures complete traceability and guarantees that the process is conducted under ethical, high-quality conditions, far removed from mass-production facilities or exploitative practices.
