Berets
A graduate of the prestigious Korpela and Hofs Watchmaking Competence Centre in the town of Le Locle, in the Swiss watchmaking heartland of the Jura Valley, Ivan Berets is an emerging Italian watchmaking talent who has studied traditional watchmaking techniques under the tutelage of Henrik Korpela. Making his debut in 2026 with his Series 1 collection, a rectangular cased piece which is based on the prototype he developed whilst still studying, and based on the iconic Peseux 7001 manual winding movement, the young watchmaker has re-manufactured much of the original mechanism and re-imagined it as a rectangular movement for his Series 1 collection. Demonstrating a natural proficiency in the many skills he has acquired in watchmaking school, Berets’ watches exhibit fine finishings throughout, a keen eye for aesthetic and technical detail, as well as the use of classical materials such as German silver or the more contemporary palladium in his reconstructed movements.
