Celebrating its centenary year in 2026, Nivada Grenchen is an independently owned  Swiss brand whose retro-inspired watches are rooted in man’s insatiable appetite for the conquest of the great outdoors.

A victim of the quartz crisis, the marque was forced to close its manufactory in the late 1970s when, like so many other famous watch companies of the time, market forces pushed the brand out of business, and into a prolonged period of limbo.

Reborn in 2018 its new owners have faithfully stayed true to the brand’s original values, and have brought back to life many of the iconic collections for which the company enjoyed its reputation among the explorers, adventurers and auto racers of the 1950s and ‘60s.

With its irresistible classic designs, stylishly refreshed and engineered for the demands of the modern active lifestyle, Nivada Grenchen watches today are like time capsules from the past.
