Returns

All eligible online purchases made through The Limited Edition are covered by a 14-day cancellation and returns period. The 14-day period begins on the day after you, or a person nominated by you, takes physical possession of the timepiece.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us within this 14-day period by contacting info@thelimitededition.co.uk. Once you have notified us, the item must be returned within a further 14 days.

Condition of Returned Timepieces

Returned items must be returned in the same condition in which they were supplied, subject only to reasonable inspection. This applies equally to new and pre-owned timepieces.

We ask that watches are not worn beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them. Any protective stickers, seals or coverings should remain in place wherever possible.

  • Presentation boxes and outer packaging
  • Warranty cards and certificates
  • Papers and manuals
  • Spare straps
  • Bracelet links
  • Buckles and clasps
  • Tools and accessories
  • Complimentary items supplied as part of the purchase

All returns are inspected upon receipt.

Where a watch or any accompanying item has been worn, damaged, altered or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, resulting in a reduction in value, The Limited Edition reserves the right to make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law. This may include costs associated with necessary polishing, refinishing, servicing, repair, replacement of components or restoration.

Examples may include visible scratches, bracelet adjustment, missing links, strap creasing, damaged packaging, removed or damaged accessories, alteration or modification.

Reporting Damage on Delivery

Any visible damage, transit damage or discrepancy should be reported to us within 24 hours of receiving the item wherever reasonably possible. Please provide photographs of the watch, packaging and any visible damage so that we can investigate promptly. This does not affect your statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

Return Shipping

For change-of-mind returns on orders over £3,000, The Limited Edition will arrange and cover the cost of insured return shipping.
For change-of-mind returns of £3,000 or less, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping and insurance.
Where the customer is responsible for arranging the return, the item must be appropriately packaged, fully insured for its value and sent using a secure and traceable service.
Proof of posting and insurance should be retained until the return has been confirmed as received.
Where an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, The Limited Edition will arrange or reimburse reasonable return costs where required under applicable consumer law.

Refunds

Returned items will be inspected and verified against the original sales record before a refund is processed.
Where a return qualifies for a refund, we will normally refund the purchase price using the original payment method.
Where applicable, any standard outbound delivery charge originally paid by the customer will also be refunded in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Additional costs incurred by choosing an enhanced, express or premium delivery service may not be refundable beyond the cost of our standard delivery option.
Refunds will normally be processed within the applicable statutory timeframe following receipt of the returned item, or satisfactory evidence that it has been returned, where applicable.

Bespoke, Unique-Piece, Custom-Made and Personalised Timepieces

Timepieces commissioned, manufactured, modified or personalised specifically to a customer’s individual requirements are not eligible for change-of-mind cancellation or return once the commission has been confirmed and production or customisation has commenced.

  • Bespoke or unique-piece commissions
  • Personalised engravings
  • Custom dials
  • Custom case executions
  • Movement modifications
  • Bespoke finishing or decoration
  • Individually specified materials or colours
  • Custom straps or bracelets
  • Special engravings, inscriptions or personal motifs
  • Other modifications or specifications created specifically at the customer’s request

Where a deposit is taken for a bespoke, custom-made or personalised timepiece, that deposit will be non-refundable once the commission has been confirmed and production or customisation has commenced, unless otherwise agreed by The Limited Edition in writing.

A timepiece will not automatically be considered bespoke merely because it is made to order. This exclusion applies specifically where the product has been manufactured, altered or personalised to the customer’s individual specification.
Nothing in this section affects the customer’s statutory rights where an item is faulty, not as described or does not conform to the agreed specification.

International Orders, Duties and Taxes

For international orders, local customs duties, import VAT, sales taxes and other charges may apply depending on the destination.
Where The Limited Edition has paid duties, taxes, customs charges or similar fees on behalf of the customer, including shipments sent on a Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) basis, those amounts are normally paid directly to the relevant customs or tax authority. Such charges may not be recoverable following a return.

Where legally permitted, The Limited Edition will only refund customs duties, import taxes or similar charges if and to the extent that those amounts are successfully recovered from the relevant authority. Any irrecoverable customs duties, import taxes or similar third-party charges may therefore be excluded from the refund, subject always to applicable consumer law.

Customers returning items internationally must follow the return and customs instructions provided by The Limited Edition. Incorrect customs declarations may result in additional taxes, duties or delays, for which the customer may be responsible.

Faulty or Misdescribed Items

The 14-day change-of-mind policy is separate from your statutory rights.
If a timepiece is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract, please contact us as soon as possible at info@thelimitededition.co.uk.
We will assess the matter and provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.

How to Arrange a Return

Before returning any item, please contact info@thelimitededition.co.uk.
Please include your order number, name and reason for the return.
We will then provide the appropriate return address, shipping instructions and any necessary documentation.
Items should not be returned without first notifying us, as this may delay processing, insurance arrangements or customs clearance.
