A true grande complication, combining a minute repeater with dual resonance regulation. The First Edition introduces the calibre ARR25, limited to 25 pieces.
This is not a complication stack. It is a mechanical statement.
The Minute Repeater Resonance 12:59 First Edition brings together two of the most demanding disciplines in watchmaking: acoustic time indication and resonance regulation. Very few brands attempt either. Almost none combine both.
At the centre is the in-house calibre ARR25, developed and manufactured by Armin Strom. The movement integrates two independent regulating organs, synchronised via the brand’s patented resonance clutch. This is not decorative symmetry. It is functional chronometry, stabilising rate through harmonic interaction.
Layered on top is a minute repeater with four hammers and four gongs. The architecture is fully exposed, allowing the wearer to observe the entire striking sequence. The flying governor, visible during activation, controls the cadence of the chime and becomes a focal point in motion.
The defining feature of this piece is the “12:59” mode. Beyond standard time striking, the wearer can trigger the longest possible repeater sequence on demand. Twelve hours, three quarters, fourteen minutes. It is unnecessary, excessive, and exactly the point. A column wheel governs the transition between modes, reinforcing the technical depth of the system.
The dial is entirely openworked, presenting a balanced composition. The repeater mechanism sits at the top, the twin balances and resonance clutch anchor the lower half, and the central hands are elevated above a frosted mainplate. Every element is visible, nothing is hidden.
The 42mm Grade 5 titanium case keeps the watch wearable despite the complexity, with a height of just 11.7mm. Finishing contrasts modern industrial surfaces on the dial side with traditional techniques on the reverse, including côtes de Genève and hand-applied graining.
Limited to 25 pieces, this is not positioned against mainstream high horology. It sits in a category where buyers are comparing philosophy, not brand recognition.
