The De Bethune DB28 GS Grand Bleu (Ref. DB28GSV2) is a high-performance diving instrument engineered with precision and horological innovation. Encased in a 44mm x 12.8mm black zirconium mid-case with a brushed and polished grade 5 titanium bezel and caseback, it ensures robustness and corrosion resistance. A unidirectional rotating bezel is integrated directly into the sapphire crystal, enabling accurate dive-time tracking. The case is fitted with floating lugs in brushed grade 5 titanium (De Bethune Patent, 2006), optimising ergonomics and wrist comfort. The satin-brushed titanium dial features a cut-out Arabic numeral minutes ring, a power reserve indicator between 9 and 10 o’clock, and a manual-activated mechanical lighting system based on a dynamo principle (De Bethune Innovation, 2019) for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions. The blued titanium hands incorporate polished steel inserts and luminescent tips, while the polished steel central seconds hand is similarly luminescent.

Powered by the in-house Calibre DB2080, this manually wound movement comprises 400 components and 35 jewels, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph. It integrates several proprietary innovations: a self-regulating twin barrel (2004), titanium balance wheel with white gold inserts (2016), balance spring with flat terminal curve (2006), silicon escape wheel, and triple pare-chute shock absorption system. The architecture features a flame-blued and hand-polished motion-work bridge, microlight-engraved barrel bridge covers, and snailed barrels. Water-resistant to 10 ATM (100 meters), the timepiece is secured with a natural rubber strap and grade 5 titanium folding clasp. Supplied like new, full set with box and papers
