Sơn Mài – Guilloché Main (Sunset)

The AWAKE Sơn Mài – Guilloché Main collection introduces a refined 38 mm stainless steel case paired with a sophisticated Métiers d’Art dial that unites, for the first time in watchmaking, traditional hand-executed guilloché and Vietnamese Sơn Mài lacquer. Each dial begins with approximately one hundred precisely engraved grooves, cut entirely by hand on historic rose or straight-line engines, before being enhanced through a meticulous, multi-layer lacquer process using natural resin and pigments to create deep gradients and a highly polished surface with exceptional optical depth.

Available in three limited editions of 200 pieces—Alba, Sunset, and Borealis—each variation features a distinct guilloché motif and colour palette inspired by celestial phenomena. The watch is powered by the Swiss La Joux-Perret G101 automatic calibre, delivering a 68-hour power reserve and visible through a sapphire caseback, complete with a custom-finished tungsten rotor. Additional technical features include a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal, 100 metres of water resistance via a screw-down crown, and AWAKE’s proprietary luminous system combining Super-LumiNova® BGW9 with multi-finish applied indices for enhanced legibility. The piece is fitted on an Alcantara strap by Jean Rousseau with a rubber-lined calfskin backing and a micro-adjustable pin buckle, completing a watch that blends contemporary mechanics with exceptional artisanal craftsmanship.
