Featuring exceptional craftsmanship throughout, the Völund Fullerö Sword Midnight Blue Watch by GoS boasts an unique artisanal dial and case inspired by Viking weaponry. Taking design references in particular from a historically significant Viking sword rediscovered in 1969 in Fullerö, this extraordinary piece demonstrates the signature detailing and high-end finishing which is synonymous with this independent watchmaking atelier.

The visual highlight of the model is its Damascus steel dial, which is crafted using ancient techniques, wherein multiple layers of hard metal are repeatedly fired, folded, hammered and polished, emerging as exquisite slivers with unique colour subtleties. In a beautifully uncluttered arrangement, a sapphire index ring on the periphery of the dial holds notches in place of numerals and minute markers, while luminescence applied beneath emits an orange glow giving the dial an otherworldly aesthetic after dark. The elaborate dial is complemented by exquisite black enamel filled engraving on the bezel and caseback of the 41.5mm stainless steel case, which also features grooved sides, the distinctive hilt-shaped GoS crown, and superb satin and polished detailing. An exhibition caseback displays the G101 automatic calibre by La Joux-Perret which operates at a frequency of 28’800 vib/h, with power reserve of 68 hours via a skeletonised rotor which is further embellished with a distinctive Triskele symbol at its centre. The Völund Fullerö Sword Midnight Blue watch will be limited in production with each model signed on the caseback with an individual reference number.
