Exceptional in architecture and arrangement, the ArtyA Purity Stairway To Heaven watch is a technical showcase for contemporary Independent Watchmaking, and this stunning piece signifies a meritorious accomplishment for the ArtyA Atelier as they reflect upon 15 years of innovation. The model carries a 40mm case, and is available in options of stainless steel, black PVD stainless steel or in ceramic cases in choices of white, black, green or blue, and with various dial colours. In tribute to the company’s significant achievements with technical construction materials, the case flanks feature carbon fibre inserts, while embracing the grooved crown, the flowing guards add distinctiveness to the case profile.
While previous models in the Purity series have featured Tourbillon escapements, the ArtyA Purity Stairway To Heaven is notable for its minimalist time-only layout, with each component of the Manufacture calibre reduced to their essentia by extreme skeletonisation. The hours and minutes are on their own openworked dial, equipped with asymmetrically positioned sand-blasted and diamond-polished hands. Just beneath it, the pair of barrels are placed in parallel, delivering a smooth release of energy of a reserve of power up to 72 hours, while on the left, the Stairway To Heaven escapement is clasped beneath an exquisite labyrinthine of slender, curving hand-beveled bridges. An excellent example of design holism, with both case and movement meticulously finished so that they adhere to the same styling codes, the watch has a momentous wrist presence that promises endless fascination for the wearer.
The ArtyA Purity Stairway To Heaven models are powered by a Swiss Manufacture manual winding movement developed in partnership with La Chaux-de-Fonds based movement specialist Télôs SA, that operates at a frequency of 28’800 vib/h. The models are worn on rubber or leather straps, secured via a pin buckle and are presented in a limited edition of only 99 pieces per configuration.
