Did you know the Danes love their coffee just as much as they do their fine watches? In fact, in the grand scheme of things, Denmark has an even more impressive record of producing world-beating baristas than it does trend-setting horologists.
This material uses specially selected beans, ground to a fine powder before being introduced to an UV-resistant binding agent and moulded into millable blocks under intense pressure. The result is definitely Arcanauts tastiest (but still very much inedible) dial yet.
Arcanaut steel Grand Paw hands return for the Arcanaut Arc II — D’Arc Roast Limited Edition but this time they’ve been heated until they oxidised to a warming bronze tone, which pairs beautifully with the mottled browns of the dial, and the "cream" LumiCast blocks used on the dial and hands. This inviting colourway that uses varying shades of brown alongside the muted grey of blasted stainless steel, aims to evoke the Scandinavian concept of “Hygge”, which roughly translates to, “a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.” Something we feel we could all do with a little more of in our lives. On the reverse, the D’Arc Roast is fitted with one of our proprietary Glowpatch designs. A Glowpatch is a multi-component case back using three gaskets to ensure water resistance to 100 metres, a deeply engraved, Swiss Super-LumiNova filled medallion, and a sapphire crystal. This design shows an excitable coffee cup, whose name we don’t know but assume to be Joe!
The Arcanaut Arc II D’Arc Roast is limited to just 33 pieces and is available for immediate order, with deliveries expected to commence within eight to ten weeks.
