Released as an exclusive model, and available only to clients of The Limited Edition, this stunning Aleksandr Nesterenko Art Deko AN01 watch features a spectacular guilloché dial, which is available in a wide spectrum of colour tones. Powered by the in-house AN01 calibre, each example in this special series will be presented in a steel casing individually hand-sanded, giving each piece a uniquely textured aesthetic. Hand-crafted by Nesterenko in his St Petersburg atelier, this stunning timepiece perfectly expresses this young talent’s artisanship and horological prowess, and affirms his place at the upper echelon of the independent watchmaking landscape.

Aimed at the connoisseur of fine watchmaking, this exceptional Art Deko model is fabricated by hand in Nesterenko’s home city of Saint Petersburg, whose magnificent architecture provided inspiration for its sophisticated styling. Notably, the movement, the AN01 calibre, is an in-house innovation, with the exception of the ratchet wheel which is outsourced to the prestigious Raketa Manufacture. Furthermore, due to the hand-crafted process involved in the creation of each piece, further customisation is an option for the client at the time of purchase.

The Aleksandr Nesterenko Art Deko AN01 watch resides in a stainless steel casing which measures 39mm across. Meticulously hand-rendered with a textured finish, the decoration achieved gives the surface a wonderful marbled appearance that not only transforms the bare metal giving it extraordinary depth and beauty, it also instantly elevates the character of the watch.

Beneath a gently domed sapphire crystal, the dial and hands are beautifully executed. The dial is of two sections with the outer holding a black minutes track upon which the scale in white double digits stands out superbly. Immediately inset, the roman numerals, also rendered in pristine white, complement the aesthetic. The polished hour and minute hands are Nesterenko signatures, with pronounced ‘pomme’ circles just before their arrow-point tips, while the seconds hand is an incredibly slender example that is finished with a fine openworked counterweight.

Most striking of all is the mesmerising pattern of guilloché decoration which is engraved deep into surface of the dial’s central panel. Available in options of black, green, grey, burgundy, blue, or salmon, its overlapping rings swirl outwards from the centre to create an intense ripple effect which plays with the light and irresistibly catches the eye. Machined by hand using traditional guilloché rose engine, it is outstandingly accomplished.

On the underside of the Aleksandr Nesterenko Art Deko watch, a sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the manual winding AN01 in-house movement. Immaculately decorated, is has a german silver plate, and its exquisite hand-frosted finishing can fully appreciated through the sapphire caseback.

A superb piece of individual and elegant beauty, this exquisite Art Deko watch by emerging Russian independent watchmaker Aleksandr Nesterenko is exclusively available to clients of The Limited Edition with variations and bespoke finishing options available at the time of purchase.
