A defining Hautlence complication, the Sphere Series 4 pairs a spherical jumping hour display with retrograde minutes, powered by the in-house calibre A82 and limited to just 28 pieces.

QTY :

The Sphere Series 4 is Hautlence at its most recognisable.

At the centre of the watch is its defining complication: a spherical jumping hour display. Unlike traditional discs or apertures, the time is indicated via a rotating sphere, driven by a system of bevel gears operating across crossed axes. It is not just a display of time, but a mechanical performance.

This is paired with a retrograde minutes indication, positioned on the right side of the dial. The combination creates constant visual movement, with the sphere advancing in discrete jumps while the minute hand sweeps and resets in a fluid arc.

The case follows Hautlence’s signature TV-shaped design, executed in Grade 5 titanium. The mix of satin-brushed and polished surfaces adds contrast, while the dimensions of 37mm by 45mm and a height of 17.4mm give the watch real presence without excessive weight.

A skeletonised dial exposes the in-house calibre A82, appearing suspended between two sapphire crystals. The architecture is open and technical, prioritising depth and mechanical visibility over traditional finishing styles.

The spherical hour mechanism itself is crafted in titanium with a sandblasted finish, reinforcing the industrial, engineered aesthetic of the piece. In low light, luminescent elements bring the display to life, adding a secondary layer of visual impact.

The calibre A82 is manually wound, operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a 72-hour power reserve. Notably, the hairsprings are produced in-house, and final assembly is handled by H. Moser & Cie., underlining the technical credibility behind the brand.

Limited to just 28 pieces, the Sphere Series 4 is not about subtlety or tradition. It is a statement of mechanical design aimed at collectors who prioritise innovation and independent watchmaking over familiarity
