The Säntis is an in‑house–manufactured world‑time wristwatch combining Andreas Strehler’s precision engineering with a refined, highly functional display architecture. Housed in a 40 mm medical‑grade stainless‑steel case, the watch remains notably slim at 9.7 mm, retaining elegance despite the addition of a full world‑time mechanism. The case features an anti‑reflective sapphire crystal and a sapphire exhibition back secured by four screws, offering a view of the automatic calibre SA‑30W. Water‑resistance is rated at 3 ATM / 30 m.
At the heart of the Säntis is a Cottier‑style world-time system, engineered for intuitive operation through a single three‑position crown. The mechanism enables control of winding, independent adjustment of the city ring and 24‑hour ring, and time‑setting without additional pushers, preserving the purity of the case design. Day/night indication is integrated into the rotating 24‑hour ring, which aligns with the fixed city disc listing 24 global time zones.
Cities operating under daylight saving time are highlighted with a sun symbol; both discs employ luminescent printing for low‑light visibility. The dial is crafted from titanium, individually machined, laser‑engraved, hand‑polished, and anodized. Its three‑dimensional texture derives from a design developed with Eric Giroud, delivering a visually dynamic surface. A circular‑brushed stainless‑steel chapter ring frames the central dial, while an anodized titanium minute track features luminescent markers.
Customers may choose from 20 available anodized colors for the central dial, crown, and minute ring.
