Schwarz Etienne 1902 Petite Seconde Slate combines refined aesthetics with advanced in-house engineering. Housed in a lightweight 39 mm Grade 5 titanium case with a slim 10.90 mm profile, the watch features alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes that highlight its contemporary lines. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures optimal legibility, while water resistance of 5 ATM (50 m) offers everyday practicality. The “Slate” dial showcases meticulous contrasts: a finely grained central section paired with an opaline-finished hour ring, encircled by a crisp minute track and diamond-shaped edging. At 6 o’clock, the petite seconde subdial provides balance and depth. Hours and minutes are indicated by elegant silver lancine-style hands.
Driving the timepiece is the ASE 300.00 automatic calibre, fully developed and manufactured by Schwarz Etienne. This micro-rotor movement operates at 3 Hz (21,600 vph) and delivers an impressive 86-hour power reserve. Visible through the exhibition caseback, the movement reflects exceptional finishing: six bridges with polished angles, a chevron-patterned micro-rotor, a sunray-decorated ratchet wheel with hand-polished teeth, and a sandblasted mainplate. These details underscore the brand’s dedication to Swiss watchmaking tradition and modern technical mastery. Completing the watch is a black leather strap with rubber lining, secured by a titanium ardillon buckle engraved with the Schwarz Etienne logo, combining comfort with durability. The 1902 Petite Seconde embodies understated sophistication, harmonising timeless design with a technically distinguished manufacture calibre.
