Presented in two limited editions of only 25 pieces each, the Angelus Instrument de Vitesse watch perfectly captures the nostalgia of vintage sports timepieces. Featuring superb retro styling and a mono-pusher chronograph arrangement, this exciting new model features a precision tachymeter and minutes scale rendered in blue and orange upon an ivory white toned dial with applied numerals. Housed in a 39mm stainless steel casing, the watch enjoys the advantage of the manual winding in-house Angelus A5000 Chronograph movement with column-wheel and horizontal clutch chronograph mechanism.

Forming part of the company’s La Fabrique collection, the Angelus Instrument de Vitesse is infused with the refinement and enduring appeal of the classic sports timepieces that once graced the wrists of enthusiasts in the golden age of racing. Wonderfully minimalist, it features a chronograph function in its purest form, via a single slender orange-tipped timing hand from the centre that enables timing of periods of sixty seconds. The surface of the dial displays a domed form, with a tachymeter scale at its perimeter leading to a graduated minutes scale, and with these elements rendered in blue with nuances of orange on the creamy white dial of the Blanc Ivoire edition, and the classic gold against black on the Noir Ebene edition, the contrast is excellent. The applied numerals and hands are generously coated with powerful Super-LumiNova and stand out superbly, enhancing the three dimensional aspect to the layout.

Measuring 39mm across, and with a height of 9.27mm, the casing is of stainless steel. Its elegant proportions adhere to the historical styling of the dial, and it is equipped with a pert little grooved crown, equipped with a single push-piece for activating the chronograph.

Beating within, the in-house A5000 movement incorporates a column wheel and horizontal coupling clutch mechanism, the defining feature of a high-end chronograph complication. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the calibre displays exceptional finishing, with Côtes de Genève, perlage and straight-grained decoration. Equipped with a power reserve of 42 hours, it has a frequency of 21’600 vib/h.

Available in two limited editions of only 25 pieces each, the Angelus Instrument de Vitesse Ivory White and Noir Ebene comes presented on a midnight blue or caramel leather strap respectively, secured with a stainless steel pin buckle.
