Originally introduced in 2001 following a design competition organised by Graham, the Swordfish collection quickly established itself through its unconventional architecture and distinctive chronograph display. Swordfish Bronze Black continues this legacy, combining bold proportions, innovative detailing and a vintage-inspired aesthetic.

Housed in a substantial 46mm case crafted from CuSn8 bronze, an alloy traditionally associated with naval engineering, the watch develops a natural patina over time, giving each example its own distinctive character. A satin-brushed bronze bezel complements the case, while the chronograph pushers feature a Clous de Paris pattern for improved grip.

One of the Swordfish's most recognisable features is its unusual sapphire crystal construction. Two prominent magnifying portholes, offering 20% magnification, sit above the chronograph counters at 3 and 9 o'clock, creating an unmistakable visual identity.

A black sunbrushed dial provides the backdrop for luminous hour markers and 18K gold hands treated with white Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent readability in varying lighting conditions. Matching gold chronograph indications reinforce the watch's distinctive character.

Powering the Swordfish Bronze Black is Graham's G1710 automatic chronograph calibre, featuring a coaxial counter arrangement, 34 jewels and an Incabloc shock protection system. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), the movement delivers approximately 48 hours of power reserve. Decorative finishing includes circular graining, blued screws and Côtes de Genève.

A sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the movement, while water resistance is rated to 100 metres.

Completing the watch is a black rubber strap featuring a mesh pattern, secured by a matching bronze pin buckle. Combining traditional materials with an unconventional chronograph display, the Swordfish Bronze Black remains a distinctive expression of Graham's contemporary watchmaking.
